Our Zeppole Mix story. Our mother Gaetana "Chickie"
Camerieri was born and grew up in Brooklyn New York, and quite often celebrated the Feast of San Gennaro. In 1976 she moved to Florida with her husband and three kids.  Years later, as a member of a new Italian Women's group, she pitched the idea of an Italian Feast of San
Gennaro, making it the first of its kind in Safety Harbor, Florida. It grew to 5,000 attendees for a 3-day Italian Festival weekend event, and the rest is
history.
We miss you, Mom and Dad.

My brother Charlie owned Camerieri’s Italian Bakery here in Florida. At the Italian festival they did not have the woman
power & time to make famous Manhattan Italian Festival Treat, therefore he wanted to sell Zeppoles! From a very old family recipe, he used premium ingredients and is continued today into our unique festival recipe. We had the Zeppole Booth for seven years in a row. Years later his brother Joe Camerieri suggested he sell the recipe as a dry mix & developed a prototype.
